Mugging at KESC office at Ferozabad condemned; Authorities appeal for investigation of the incident and arrest of criminals

Karachi, Dec 2, 2013: In a statement, KESC has condemned the incident of mugging which took place early morning on Monday, December 1 at Ferozabad Society Office.

According to a statement, a number of unidentified armed men broke into the KESC office at about 3 am, thrashed the security guards on duty along with other staff and took them as captives. During the unfortunate incident, all on-duty staff was deprived of about 18 mobile phones and cash.

The armed men stacked material and wires of new connections of substation maintenance in a car (MTL JX 5208) and fled. Goods robbed in this incident were estimated to be worth more than Rs. 1000,000.
The Trakker company and relevant police station were informed of the incident by KESC without delay.
Later, according to reports, the KESC car (MTL JX 5208) was found 2 km away from Javedan Cement Factory on Manghopir Road.

The power utility hopes that relevant authorities will conduct an investigation into the incident and arrest the criminals.
