Directorate General Colleges Sindh owe PKR. 34 million from 46 Electricity Connections

Karachi, April 28, 2015: K-Electric announces that all the examination centers will be exempted from load-shedding during the examination period. This decision was made in light of the understanding that students need not bear the brunt of inefficiencies and mismanagement by the Directorate.

In its press statement, KE clarifies that 46 connections of Directorate owe PKR. 34 million. According to KE’s spokesperson, the company has issued several notices which were ignored by the institution.

KE also expresses its astonishment on the statement made by the Directorate General of Colleges Sindh and added that all billing concerns were to be enquired prior to their statement. KE spokesperson further reiterated that the directorate should refrain from making unfounded allegations in order to conceal its inefficiency.

The statement further said that KE issues monthly bills to these directorate colleges, therefore all payments should have been on a regular basis.

KE advises directorate to take responsibility and understand the impact of their actions which can be a due concern for these students.

KE also urges Sindh government to play a central role for the payment of dues at their earliest possible.
