Karachi, 24th March: KE and Konnect by HBL have partnered to launch a special campaign offering cashbacks of up to 800 rupees as a reward for regular bill payment. Beginning in March and extending till June 2022, this campaign is geared to encourage the adoption of convenient, online methods of bill payments.
To avail the cashback with Konnect by HBL, consumers will have to pay 2 consecutive monthly bills on the same KE account number with their registered Konnect App. Registering on Konnect by HBL is a simple process requiring a valid phone number and CNIC number. A maximum cashback of 800 rupees can be availed on the payment of 4 consecutive bills with same KE account number, which will be credited to the user’s account. Consumers will also receive confirmation of successful payment on their registered mobile numbers via SMS from 8425.
COVID-19 accelerated the adoption of digital banking and e-commerce in Pakistan as people sought efficient and safe means of accessing their finances and conducting transactions. Between February 2020 and March 2022, KE saw an increase of 73% in the use of alternate delivery channels including online payments. To facilitate this, KE has strengthened its systems through partnerships with leading digital payment solution experts. In November 2021, KE partnered with NIFT ePay to integrate digitized payment facilities on its website for a hassle-free experience. Additionally, KE’s self-service WhatsApp portal and the KE Live App also have a provision for online bill payments at ready convenience.
