Karachi, 15 July 2025: Power supply disruption at Dhabeji Pumping Station occurred due to an internal cable fault within the installation of Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC). A request for support was received from KWSC at 4:30 AM for rectification of the fault.
The spokesperson clarified that there was no interruption in power supply from KE’s end and that KE’s infrastructure remained fully operational but in public interest, KE teams are extending technical assistance to rectify this internal fault .
The spokesperson further added that all pumping stations of KESC including Dhabeji pumping station are exempted from loadshedding and also backed by alternate power supply sources to ensure continuity of water distribution across the city.
