Karachi, March 7, 2024 – K-Electric (KE), in-line with its commitment to facilitate customers, has planned over 40 night camps, or “Khuli Kacheries,” across Karachi during the holy month of Ramadan. Six night camps have already been held in Mehmoodabad, Saadi Town, Korangi, Garden, Orangi, and Bahadurabad.
These night camps are part of KE’s broader Hum Qadam program, under which 100 facilitation camps were successfully organized in January and February 2025. Designed to transform the way people interact with their power utility; these camps aim to make customer support more accessible and efficient.
The spirit behind these night camps is to facilitate customers, particularly in areas where banking services are not available in close proximity, through specialized banking kiosks to allow paying electricity bills beyond normal banking hours. In addition, the night camps enable paying outstanding electricity dues on easy terms and avail new connections.
Imran Rana, Senior Director Corporate Communications at K-Electric, shared: “Our goal is to transform every customer into a ‘star customer’ by offering proactive support and seamless service, particularly during this sacred month. KE’s unique approach is to meet the customer where they are, rather than waiting for them to come to us, ensuring we remain accessible through both physical and online channels.”
He added, “70% of KE’s network remains free from load-shedding, and the challenge lies with the remaining 30%, where power theft and non-payment of bills are prevalent. We urge our customers to stay vigilant around power theft and report any suspicious activity via KE platforms including speakup@ke.com.pk. During this holy month, let’s act together to ensure power theft is reported so that economic loadshed can be reduced in high-loss areas.”
KE is committed to ensuring that all customers have access to the necessary resources for smooth service during Ramadan as well. For any assistance, customers can reach out to KE’s helpline 118, KE Live App, and social media platforms.
