Karachi, June 22, 2016: K-Electric clinched victory against Omar Associates in the first match of 5th Corporate T20 Cup 2016 played at DHA Sports Club, Moin Khan Academy. The thrilling encounter saw K-Electric winning by 3 runs.
As per the press statement, Omar Associates won the toss and invited KE to bat first. K-Electric scored 140 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. For K-Electric Nadeem and Asad scored 50 and 25 runs respectively. Chasing the target, Omar Associates, who is also known as Quetta Gladiators consisting of many international players like Ahmed Shahzad, Umer Gul, Anwer Ali, Immad Wasim, Saad Naseem, Khurram Manzoor and Nauman Anwer, batted well but fell short of 3 runs due to some outstanding bowling from K-Electric bowlers. For Omar Associates Imad Wasim and Anwer Ali scored 55 and 28 runs respectively. The leading wicket taker from K-Electric was Hasan Khan taking 3 wickets whereas Rizwan Khan grabbed 2 and Faraz Khan and Adil Amin got 1 wicket each.
Nadeem from K-Electric was named Man of the Match for his brilliant 50 runs.
