Karachi June 28, 2016: K-Electric issued a press statement stating that over 200 feeders were tripped during rain on Tuesday evening. Around 50% tripped feeders were restored within an hour.
KElectric teams confirmed that in some areas power was cut down due to precautionary measures because of kunda infested areas and rain water logging. K-Electric ensured continuous power supply in major part of the city.
KE’s rapid response team were already on alert situation to reinstate affected feeders in order to fully restore power supply in city as soon as possible.
Restoration work started was initiated immediately in areas where rain had stopped. KE teams worked diligently to facilitate supply strategic installations and power to Dhabeji was also restored within the hour.
K-Electric has once again requested all its customers to stay away from any broken wires, electrical poles and trees. K-Electric’s rain emergency response teams are prepared to tackle any situation occurring round the clock.
Consumers were also requested to take safety measures during rains and inform the utility of any broken wires or technical faults without any delay by calling on 118 and 021-99000 or by SMS to 8119 or register their complaints on our web site.
