Karachi – August 28, 2016: K-Electric Teams remained active on Sunday as city experienced another wave of rain.
The power utility shared that system remained intact on second day of rains as well. KEs Rapid Response Teams came into action immediately in the aftermath of rains to address any disruptions in supply.
According to a statement majority of the affected feeders were normalized within the hour most all of the feeders affected by the rains on Sunday were re-energized within a few hours.
Uninterrupted supply to strategic installations including Airport and Dhabeji was ensured.
KE teams remain in the field to address localized faults and individual queries. Affected areas include Malir, North Karach, parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to KE Spokesperson, K-Electric field teams and customer call centre are working round the clock to ensure supply and restoration of power to affected customers in the cosmopolitan.
Systematic investments in systems, operations and processes have aided the utility provider in responding to queries with greater efficiency.
The utility provider continues to urge consumers to stay away from broken wires, poles and transformers. Moreover, customers are requested to inform the utility of any broken wires or complaints by calling on 118 or 021-99000. Queries may also be sent via SMS to 8119 or through KE’s digital platforms.
