Sameer serves as Partner and Managing Director at AsiaPak Investments, a private investment firm focused on building Pakistan’s essential economic infrastructure. AsiaPak have deployed over USD 4 billion in Pakistan logistics/transport, energy/power, industrial/manufacturing, chemicals, and, media sectors. Their portfolio companies include Daewoo Express, Sino Sindh Resources (Thar Coal Block One), Liberty Daharki Power, KE, Heavy Electrical Complex, Lotte Chemicals, Shakarganj Mills, BOL Network. AsiaPak partners with international strategic investors including Shanghai Electric, Norinco, China Resources. Sameer serves on the Board of Directors of companies in Pakistan including Daewoo Express, Daewoo Gas, and, Liberty Daharki Power.
Sameer serves as General Partner at SparkLabs Group, the world’s 3rd biggest early-stage tech venture capital investor and the most successful tech venture accelerator in Asia, with 600+ portfolio companies globally. SparkLabs operates a network of tech startup accelerators and tech venture capital funds in Greater China, Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the US. They invest in multiple sectors including AI, Blockchain, Crypto, CyberSecurity, FinTech, AgTech, HealthTech, Clean Energy,.
Sameer is also Co-Founder of FrontierOne Al. The venture funded company is based in California, London, and, Dubai. It builds and operates hyper local, highly secure, Sovereign Al Factories. They are active in Europe/Nordics, and, Middle East / Gulf.

- Partner at Bain & Company, Greater China, serving leading financial services companies and investors including HSBC, AXA, Westpac, Charles Schwab, Lloyds Group, China Merchants, Ping An, CVC Capital, KKR. Served as global head of wealth & asset management practice, and Greater China head of Financial Services
- Partner at McKinsey & Company, New York and London, serving leading financial services
companies including American Express, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Wells Fargo - Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore and Pakistan, where he was global product head of consumer transaction banking, and country head of Pakistan for Consumer and Small Business and Islamic Banking
- Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, New York, where he served as CFO of Consumer Banking Services a USD 70B balance sheet entity, and, developed growth strategies in wealth management
Sameer earned his BA degree in Government from Harvard University where he was Business
Manager of The Harvard Crimson and Class Chairman of The Harvard College Fund. He is an active member of Harvard Clubs in Pakistan and Hong Kong. He was educated at Karachi Grammar School.
