Syed Muhammad Taha holds an Engineering degree and an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of K-Electric Limited, he served as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) since February 2020.

He has over 30 years of local and global experience in the energy sector. Recognized for his transformational leadership, he has consistently driven organizational change and operational excellence across complex and evolving energy markets.

Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in leading large-scale transformation initiatives. Prior to PSO, he served as Executive Director at Oasis Energy. He has also led the Program Management Office at Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, Nigeria.

Syed Muhammad Taha previously served at K-Electric Limited as Chief Distribution Officer.

In his early career, he also held key positions at Shell Pakistan, Caltex Pakistan (a Chevron Company), and Pakistan Steel Mills.
